Abstract
I examined craniometric differences between golden-mantle tamarin and red-mantle saddle back tamarin collected from Curaray (Peru). The present statistic analyses reveal that the forms in the locality can be clearly discriminated from each other. Thus, this finding supports Thorington (1988) who treated golden-mantle tamarin as a distinct species from S. fuscicollis, because the specimens collected from the same locality are distinguishable from each other on cranial measurements.
