Abstract
Rave is the outside dance music party, started in 1988 in Britain, and has spread all over the world. Now it's one of the biggest youth culture. And before all, it's a strong and personal experience of sound, dance and ecstasy. I was in the scene from 80's, and wrote some books about the rave culture, dance music and trance, dancing high and ecstasy, the party as a temporary autonomous zone etc. What Rave gave the youth is the shout & feeling of "We are alive." But what's that? And for me, it's a "big somewhere" related to the writing. Where is there? Is it the place religion calls "a holy", or Timothy Leary's LSD revolution, or alcoholic junkie's blue devil? Nobody explain yet, but Rave clearly gives us. "We are alive."
