The aim of the experiment was to investigate the development of the subjective time scale in children. Findings were as follows:(a) The subjective past time scale of 9-year-old children and 11-year-old children consists of two parts, one is the part in which subjective time (γ) can be described by a linear function of objective time (X), and the other is the part in which γ can be described by a power function of X.(b) The region described by a linear function expands with the increase in age.(c) The linear functions adopted in the groups of children cannot represent the fit estimation of objective time, while it can represent this estimation in the case of adults.
