Abstract
What kind of function a customer wants is not a quality problem but a species problem. Engineer's job is not a species problem itself but to select a genericstrategy of technology to perform the required function. The technology should be developed within laboratory its functionability so it works at down stream conditions. The developement activities should be done within laboratory with avery simple but effective specimen or with a computer simulation. How to improverobust technology within laboratory is the core of quality engineering.
