Some Experiments on the Arc Welding Speed (supplement)

Abstract

In the last report, some fundamental data were. given on A.C. arc welding speed.
The present paper deals with a study of the relations between D.C. arc welding current and welding speed. The experiment was carried out with a bare and a coated electrode, and the undercut and penetration were examined as regards the straight and reverse polarities. As the result, the maximum .allowable and most suitable welding speed was clearly determined for various values of current.
