Abstract
In order to meet promptly with the customer needs which became diverse, many companies are inclined to focus their management resources on their core competences and build value chains with other companies, where they should optimize total value chains and increase effects of collaborations between companies, namely inter- firm knowledge activities.
In order to improve and revitalize knowledge activities, it is necessary to grasp or assess intellectual levels and effects of collaborative inter - firm knowledge activities. That may lead to evolution of knowledge activities.
However, suitable overall assessment methods to grasp effects and intellectual levels altogether are not established yet.
This article proposes original overall assessment method of inter- firm knowledge activity based on many case studies that assess intellectual effects and intellectual maturity. It may be possible for companies to utilize this new assessment method and manage inter - firm knowledge activities adequately and evolve them and to increase competitiveness.
