Abstract
 The outline of this paper summarizes the contents of the discussion that the Software Subcommittee had done since about 2013. Members of the Software Subcommittee have discussed the relationship between software development and the characteristics of Japan. Software development in Japan is difficult due to the linguistic nature of Japanese. Documents with ambiguous content are created, and as a result of misunderstanding of the content by others, software Development may fail. On the other hand, there is goodness of Japan such as cooperation and quality emphasis. The Software Subcommittee is studying excellent development methods that make use of the characteristics of Japan.
