Abstract

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy is a general term for a disease in which the narrowing of the spinal canal in the cervical spine causes spinal cord compression and spinal cord paralysis; it is most common in men over the age of 50, and there is no significant treatment for the mild stage of the disease. In this paper, 8 courses of aromatherapy treatments once every 7 days for a subject (client, 58 years old, male) who developed cervical spondylotic myelopathy in 2021 and still has prominent symptoms were conducted, and observed and analyzed changes in QOL from various perspectives using the KK scale.
