Abstract
This paper presents the outline of IEC 60605 series standards for reliability testing of electronic equipment. IEC 60300-3-5, the upper level standard of IEC 60605, is also discussed about the whole. Especially, the contents of the IEC 60605-2 standard about the design of the reliability test cycle are described concretely. The design procedures of test cycle in this standard will be referenced to the compound stress test which can be applied increasingly near future. Furthermore, this paper indicates that the reliability test is used as a practical method of the verification and validation of the design and development, etc.required in the ISO 9001 standard. Finally, the reliability test will support to their quality management system.
