Abstract

In this paper we deal with a two-echelon repair system that the number of items in each base is given as a finite number. By observing the number of operating items and using iterative scheme, we proposed a new method to realize fast and accurate approximation. This model is a realistic model by taking transit times into consideration. Furthermore, we consider the case that there are condemnations of failed items in each base. By observing the number of discarded items and repairable failure items, we obtain the mean number of available items. In comparison with simulation result, the algorithms are accurate and computationally easy.
