Abstract

It is quite difficult to evaluate the originality of the paper on a new analytical method. Most principles of the recent new methods may be discovered in more than 50 years ago. In some cases, that may not be uncommon to found them in more than 100 years ago. The difficulty of the evaluation of its originality may lie in definition of "new". This paper discusses on the originality of some new application of electroanalytical methods and related techniques based on old principles with some examples; i.e. "Flow Injection Analysis", "Ion Chromatography", "Double Cell Coulometry", "Gas Coulometry!", and "Vacancy Chromatography".
