Abstract
Spike-like redox peaks frequently occur in voltammograms of organic molecule adsorption layers on electrode surfaces, depending on the nature of the dynamic phase changes through strong intermolecular interaction. Herein, emergence of sharp redox peaks is discussed in regards to two-dimensional phase transition. Descriptions are mostly on a phenomenological basis using classical treatments. More quantitative and theoretical aspects should be given in due course.
