Abstract

The electrochemical AC impedance measurements are commonly used for the elucidation of reaction mechanism at the electrode surface of lithium ion batteries, fuel cells, and so on. The method to simulate AC impedance measurements by numerical calculation is shown here. This allows us to investigate how the shapes of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) change with the various parameters such as kinetic constant of electrode reaction, DC bias potential and succeeding reaction.
