Abstract
A case of porcelain gallbladder with limy bile and Saint's triad is reported in this paper.
A 64-year-old woman was admitted to Kasukabe City Hospital on August 19, 1984, with the chief complaint of right hypochondralgia. A plain film of the abdomen revealed a 4cm×3cm, oval network of calcification just to the right of the lumber spine. An upper gastrointestinal series showed a sliding hiatus hernia. Barium enema examination showed a few diverticula in the right and left colon. At operation a bony hard gallbladder was found and a cholecystectomy was performed. Thirty mixed stones and limy bile were found in the gallbladder. Microscopical examination revealed no malignancy.
A case of porcelain gallbladder with limy bile and Saint's triad was not found among the case reports of porcelain gallbladder in Japan.
