A patient developed multiple pseudoaneurysm in a Dacron graft which had been implanted six years previously as an axillofemoral artery bypass for iliofemoral obliterating arteriosclerosis. The multiple pseudoaneurysms were observed in a region ranging from the costal arch to the anastomosed femoral artery. Body motion-related stress on the prosthesis was considered to have been one predisposing factor of pseudoaneurysm formation in the Dacron arterial prosthesis due to fatigue or rupture of the Dacron fibers.
