Abstract

We have seen some reports frequently that a malignant tumor, especially malignant lymphoma appeared in the chest wall at scores of years after artificial pneumothorax or tuberculous pleuritis. The etiology is a mere guesswork and the diagnosis is difficult due to the presence of the past historical lesion. Recently we experienced a case that the malignant lymphoma appeared in the chest wall at 48 years after the tuberculous pleuritis. We state this case and 32 cases, including this case which have been reported in Japan are reviewed and disscussed.
