Abstract
Three cases of intestinal malignant lymphoma are reported with special reference to its clinical manifestations indicating the need of emergency surgery.
Case 1: A 67-year-old female had the tumor in the terminal ileum with several metastatic ileocecal lymph nodes, the tumor invaded the right ureter to cause hydronephrosis. A resection of the ileocecum and right ureter was performed. Histology of the tumor wad diffuse lymphoma of large cell type.
Case 2: An 80-year-old male underwent laparotomy for peritonitis, and the mass with ulceration in the ileum 130 cm oral to the ileocecal junction was found. Purulent peritonitis was due to perforation of the ulcer. Histological diagnosis was diffuse lymphoma of large cell type.
Case 3: A 40-year-old female was operated on ileocolonic intussusception caused by the mass locating at the terminal ileum. Histological examination of the tumor revealed metastatic malignant lymphoma which had been surgically removed 2 years and 6 months prior to this operation. Histological classification was follicular lymphoma of medium-sized cell type.
