Study of the benefit evaluation of the embankment considering the environment, the scenery and the spatial use

Abstract

When we evaluated the benefit of the bank, we had evaluated only the amount of damage by flood. In future, we should evaluate the value of the environment, the scenery and the spatial use, too. In this study, we nominated Yasuragi-tei bank which is along the Shinano River in Niigata City for the examples and evaluate the benefit of it.

First, we decided the evaluation area and collected the data of the price of land in this area. Second, we gave the explanation variables for the price and decided the function of the price by means of regression analyses and multiple regression analyses. Finally, we calculated the benefit of Yasuragi-tei bank by the function.

We found that if we construct the bank like Yasuragi-tei, it will bring good influence on the area near the bank from the point of the spatial use.
