ISSUES AND MEASURES RELATED TO IMAGE-BASED FLOOD FLOW MEASUREMENT

Abstract

Application of image-based method for flood flow measurements has become popular in recent years. There are several issues reducing the accuracy and applicability of the image-based flood measurements, and some of them may have been overlooked. Based on our experience, this paper discusses the issues related to video format and orthorectification, and measures to manage the issues are also presented.
