Abstract

In the case of rivers with steep slope, if inundation occurs, the damage by it will become serious compared with the case of inundations from mild slope rivers. Although many researches are made about the inundations from rivers with mild slope, few researches are made about the inundations from rivers with steep slope. In the inundation in such a place, it is thought that the damage by the sediment outflow from river also becomes serious. The inundation discharge and sediment outflow from rivers with steep slope was investigated experimentally. The experiment was performed using small experimental apparatus which consist of the flume with a width of 15 cm and a length of 3.87m, and a flood plane with a width of 1m and a length of 2m.
