Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine three things from the physical fitness data of top-level college female table tennis team. They are; 1) to provide the index of the physical fitness of college female table tennis player 2) to clarify the measures related to the competitive performance 3) and to provide an example of a training program. The data presented revealed that standing long jump and 20m sprint were valid measures in relation to competitive performance (starter and non-starter). The results also suggest that a year-round training program using general resistance training consists of the lower extremity exercises, plyometrics and weightlifting exercises with dumbbells may be effective in improving the physical fitness factors related to these measures.
