Abstract
Recently Australian records system is been attention in archival area. We can recognize there are two reasons in it. Because it suggested DIRKS that is a development methodology of electronic records management system and the other hands it introduced the concept of functional provenance which overcomes the previous organizational one. It has very special meaning in Korea that have high level on IT industry in the world. Korean records management system succeeded to a certain extent but still has limitation on the application of description standards or metadata standards. This paper is going to introduce DIRKS, is the one of development methodology of Australian system, and try to apply it practically. Therefore, it will be helpful to people can easily understand DIRKS and it will add more explanation for practical operation.
