Abstract
There are many Sabo dams in Rokko Mountains. In this report, we tried to make clear of the relation between Sabo dams and freshwater fishes of Cyprindae.
The results are as follows
1) The streams in Rokko Mountains are cut off and closed by many Sabo dams. But freshwater fishes of Cyprindae are found to be out of influences of Sabo dams.
2) Kawamutsu (Zacco temmincki) is a most popular species in Rokko Mountains. It is cleared that Kawamutsu ofen crowds together in surface of sedimentation of Sabo dams.
3) Even if freshwater fishes have disappered by debris exclude works of Sabo dam, they crowd together in a surface of sedimention of Sabo dam again within several years.
4) There are some pools that don't break by Debris folw. We suggest that firm pools must be protected by artificial methods.
