In order to know the explosive power of organic peroxides, we have conducted the MkⅢE bal- Iistic mortar test for them,using our standerdized method. As the results, we can obtain not only the B values but alsoβ’value for many kinds of peroxides.In addition,we also can obtain some new finding on the performance of the MkⅢE ballistic mortar test,asfollows. (1) For such Iower expbsive materials as organic peroxides, an amplitude of vibration is unexpe-ctedly small when an electric detonator is not deeply inserted. (2)As the quantity of the material illcreases,the amplitude of vibration increases,until it reachs toaplateau, (3)When there is no space in the bottle,the explosive power is low. (4) The BI values of peroxides are not well correlated with the calculated heats of decomposition.
