Abstract
In this report the auther investigated the heat holding characteristics of a greenhouse with three movable inner curtains and well-water spraying device.
1) In maintaining room temperature of 13-15°C, an excellent overall heat transmission coefficient of 0.64kcal/m2hr°C was obtained.
2) The well-water spraying system showed a high resistance to heat dissipation through curtains when the ambient air temperature was low. The ratio of room temperature decrease to ambient temperature decrease was as small as 0.22°C/°C.
3) The heat transmission coefficient at each location of the greenhouse was obtained by means of a modified heat transfer model.
4) The average error of 0.3-0.8°C was obtained when the night temperatures calculated by the following estimation formula were compared with the measured values.

This formula also gave the efficiency of 0.18°C/kcal m-2 hr-1 for hot air heating of this house.
