Abstract
Disc electrophoreses of human sera from 52 normal adults were carried out. Electrophoretic patterns of normal sera showed 20 to 30 protein fractions after staining with Amidoschwarz 10B. The relative concentrations of the protein fractions were measured by an automatic recording densitometer. The mean values of the fractions of sera were as follows: prealbumin 0.5±0.1(%); albumin, male 62.0±7.5(%), female 61.1±6.1(%); αL, male 2.3±0.5(%), female 2.2±0.5(%); α1' α2', male 2.2±0.5(%), female 2.5±0.8(%); Fα2, male 1.1±0.3(%), female 1.1±0.4(%); transferrin, male 6.9±1.8(%), female 6.8±1.3(%); β2' 1.2±0.4(%); βγ, male 16.6±3.9(%), female 15.1±3.2(%); Sα2, male 4.5±1.3(%), female 5.9±1.7(%); Sβ, male 26.3±0.4(%), female 3.1±1.1(%).
