Abstract
Human genome sequencing has been finished and the post genome sequencing era has come. To accelerate the post genome sequencing research including proteome analysis, improvements are needed to move current dideoxy sequencing to more rapid sequencing time based on more revolutionary methods such as single DNA molecule analysis. The technique of single DNA molecule manipulation is essential for realizing single genome analysis. We, here, propose one of the novel methods to manipulate DNA molecule using agarose gel and alternative current electric field. These techniques which are based on nanotechnology will be applicable to the single genome analysis.
