Abstract
Endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysm has been established with the development of Guglielmi electrolytically detachable coils (GDC). The GDC system has become the gold standard for endovascular occlusion of intracranial aneurysms. Recent advancements in imaging technology and biomedical engineering also contribute to the safety and effectiveness of endovascular neurosurgery. In this paper, we review advancements in endovascular technology and training systems.
