Studies based to demonstrate delayed menarche have been undertaken with age at maximum peak velocity (MPV) of height as an indicator of maturity as a fundamentally important perspective. However, the proposed critical weight hypothesis and fat hypothesis are thought to have behind them a close relationship between menarche and body weight. In this study, given that there is thought to be a high correlation between age and MPV of body weight and age at menarche, we constructed a regression evaluation chart of age at menarche against age at MPV of weight. We then compared delayed menarche evaluated in this way with delayed menarche evaluations determined from age at MPV of height. By examining at the level of agreement, we investigated the validity of delayed menarche evaluation based on age at MPV of weight and the error when using age at MPV of weight, and performed a risk analysis of whether evaluations based on age at MPV of weight could be an indicator of maturity.
