To meet the increasing variety of customer needs, the handling of mass-customization has become a more popular issue. However, with increasing varieties of products to satisfy customer requirements, the planning, design, production and after services can be complicated. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an effective way to utilize AI (artificial intelligence) and a business rule management system (BRMS) and is examined through some examples. Also sharing roles between AI and BRMS and the effectiveness of this utilization is discussed. As a result, complex works can be simplified by using AI and BRMS through the practical cases and it is shown that this proposed approach is effective.
