Abstract
In this article, we would like to retrospect about what were motive force while we were conducting various national research projects in the past such as MEXT project on fundamental software, Funding Program for World-Leading Innovative R&D on Science and Technology (FIRST), Development program for earth environmental data platform, Research project on Information explosion, SIP, NEDO etc.
