Abstract
Synthesis of MCM-22 zeolites by the method of vapor phase transport (VPT) is carried out by use of mesoporous silica SBA-15 as a source. When ZMM-1, the composite of ZSM-5 zeolite and SBA-15, carbonization in the mesoporous structure of SBA-15 is quite important to preserve mesostructure along with zeolitization by VPT. In the case of MCM-22/SBA-15 composite synthesis, carbon filling is not always required, and mesostructure is retained in some cases. Using this composite material, ZMM-3, shape-selective adsorption is investigated.
