Abstract
Syngas production test was conducted to evaluate catalytic performance of 0.1wt% Pt loaded NiMgO tablet-shaped catalyst for oxidative steam reforming of methane using PDU test plant at syngas flux of 20 to 30Nm3/h. Almost equilibrium gas composition and methane conversion were obtained with this catalyst under 5atm, S/C=0.5, O2/C=0.5, Gas-Hourly-Space-Velocity=50,000h-1. This catalyst maintained high and stable activity and relatively flat temperature distribution in the catalyst bed for 90hr continuous operation under severe condition listed above.
