Abstract
We have reported that hydrodesulfurization (HDS) activity of Rh catalyst was remarkable improved by phosphidation. Consequently, effect of support on HDS activities of Rh phosphide catalysts were examined. When SiO2 and TiO2 were used as the support, Rh phosphide catalyst showed high HDS activity and the order of activities was SiO2 > TiO2 > MgO > Al2O3. Furthermore, Rh phosphide catalyst supported on Ti-modified SiO2 showed high activity than that of CoMo/Al2O3 catalyst.
