Abstract
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a readily available and renewable chemical feedstock, although thermodynamic considerations limit its widespread use in chemical reactions. For effective utilization of CO2, transition-metal catalysts are requisite. In the present study, we report copper-catalyzed hydrocarboxylation and silacarboxylation of alkynes using CO2 (1 atm).
