Abstract
We have found that precipitated iron catalysts supported on carbon are effective for the slurry phase FT synthesis, and reported that high CO conversion and selectivity to liquid hydrocarbons can be obtained, olefins are the major hydrocarbon products, and the olefins formed are readsorbed to promote the chain growth. In the present work, it is found that an ozone treatment of the active carbon support at low temperatures improves the catalyst durability. We will report effects of the treatment.
