Development of hydrogen sulfide removal materials of the active carbon

Abstract

Hydrogen sulfide is produced in removing process of unsaturated hydrocarbon in Catalytic reforming gasoline. Because the quality of the product decreased, the development of high-performance hydrogen sulfide materials was expected. The authors announced the hydrogen sulfide removal plant which could remove hydrogen sulfide to less than 0.05ppm in Kyoto meeting of the last year. This plant is operating smoothly in the refinery of Ehime area from April, 2016. And will operate in the refinery of the Keihin area from July, 2017. Furthermore, Investigation of the operation was started in a refinery of the Kansai area from July, 2017.
