The authors conducted a detailed examination of the robe de style designed and created by Jeanne Lanvin who represents haute couture and attempted to replicate the work based on our observations. In reference to the articles and illustrations related to Lanvin at that time, the authors examined the popularity of the dress. Nine features of the dress design were found, and through the replication process, the influence of the material, patterns, and sewing technique on these features was made clear. The expertise Advanced and exquisiteness of haute couture dressmaking were demonstrated by easing and piping, achieving a three-dimensional silhouette, delicate gathers by elaborate small running stitching with maximized property, and decoration using hundreds of beads and lining specifications to maintain the beautiful silhouette.
