In daily life, the soil may attach to clothes by farm work and children’s play. In recent years, the influence of adhering soil containing radioactive substance to clothes on the body is concerned. This study developed a test equipment and a test method to measure the adhesion and release of a small amount of soil on textiles quantitatively and accurately. Using the test equipment and method, we could evaluate quantitatively soil adhesion amount, soil residual amount, and soil release rate. Next, we examined the effectiveness of the equipment and method in this study making test materials with slightly different weft yarns. As a result, minor differences in materials were reflected by evaluation level of soil release, and it was shown that our equipment and method were effective for evaluating a small amount of the soil release of textiles.
