Abstract
On the book of “Snow Crystals” byW. A. Bentley andW. J. Humphreys, it was found that some pictures of snow crystals were duplicated. It means that some pictures of the snow crystal were artificially rotated and printed as original snow crystals or parts of the picture were cut out and enlarged, and become other kinds of snow crystal pictures. However, Bentley had no remarks on it. Although “Snow Crystals” was published by the support of the American Meteorological Society and has impressed many people with these beautiful snow crystal pictures for more than eighty years, we have to further examine the pictures in the book as initiated by this report.
