Abstract
In order to reduce the energy use of heat source equipment, it is important to evaluate their performance during operation and renovation. However, since there are few measurement parts of old equipment, analysis cannot be performed easily. In renovation and operation of old equipment, it is meaningful to perform the verification and estimation of effectiveness through simulations. Generally, a hospital has complicated energy consumption characteristics. In hospital A, Energy service company (ESCO) demonstrated renovation in 2012. Although the measurement points in this plant are not sufficient, the quantification of past performance is possible using a simulation tool. In addition, the energy efficiency of the heat source equipment after renovation was quantified. Moreover, for further efficiency improvement, the influence of an improvement of the chilled-water temperature difference between the supply and return was analyzed.
