Abstract
The combination control of VWV and VWT is developed and evaluated. The combination control needs to solve the trade off between the reduction of chiller energy consumption and the increase of the pump energy consumption according to the raise of the chiller water temperature. The VWT control changes the set point of chiller water temperature to reduce the total energy consumption using estimation models. By the provisional estimation based on the actual measurements, VWV/VWT combination control can reduce 50,000[kg-CO2/year], and it equal to the 5% of chillers and pumps energy consumption except for the auxiliary equipment.
