G-42 A Survey on Indoor Thermal Environment of Urban Residential Buildings in Urumqi, Kunming and comparison with other cities, China1

Abstract

In order to understand the actual conditions of urban residential indoor environment in Urumqi and Kunming during the winter season, the survey of indoor environment was carried out in January of 2004. Results of this investigation were compared with the results in other cities, which were already reported. The questionnaire revealed the situation of using heating system etc. This field survey showed that the indoor thermal comfort during evening hours in Urumqi and Kunming felt outside the ASHRAE comfort zone.
