Abstract
In order to understand the basic performance of pipe freeze prevention heaters, the experimental study was carried out. Results of this study are as follows 1) The self-control type heaters run hot at ambient temperature 30-40 degrees Celsius. 2) The self-control heaters become 10-20 degrees higher than the ambient temperature. When a switch was not cut, it may become a problem. 3) When ambient temperature is more than 5-7 degrees Celsius, electric current of the thermostat type heaters stop. 4) About energy consumption, the thermostat type heaters are more effective than the self-control type heaters.
