Abstract
Health damage by formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted from construction materials and daily necessaries are an important social issue. Room air cleaners are expected to be an effective technological countermeasure, and technologies, previous studies have shown that air cleaners are indeed effective against indoor air chemical pollution. However, the durability of their chemical removal performance is unclear. This report aims to clarify the durability of chemical removal performance of room air cleaners and to propose the optimum time between instances of filter cleaning.
