Abstract
Small and medium size office buildings account for the majority of the total energy consumption of all the office buildings in Japan. Energy saving for these buildings have not been implemented enough compared to large size office buildings, and simple and practical measures should be promoted. Y building, completed in March 2009, was designed based on the following concepts. ・Optimal design of air conditioning capacity to reduce low load operation. ・On/off control of lighting and air conditioning in the office space by occupancy sensors. The effects of above two concepts are to be examined this year.
