Abstract
We measured the detached house that installed a gas engine cogeneration system (GE-CGS) and a solar photovoltaic system (PVS). We measured the energy consumption of GE-CGS and the production of electricity of GE-CGS and PVS, as well as the amount of hot water and the quantity of heat supplied by GE-CGS. Then, we calculated the primary energy consumption and CO_2 emissions of the target all-electric house. We compared the primary energy consumption and CO_2 emissions of two houses. We found that the target house (GE-CGS+PVS) could reduce primary energy and CO_2 emissions.
