Abstract
We are developing a system to produce biogas from garbage and paper waste, which is low recycling rate by dry methane fermentation. It was found that large amounts of biogas could be obtained from waste. Energy recovery and decomposition rate was 84 and 80 percent, respectively. Compared to conventional waste incineration plants, we have calculated the energy balance of the entire dry methane fermentation plant. The result shows that this fermentation plant can use biomass energy efficiently than conventional systems.
