Abstract
The purpose of this study is to reveal energy performance and thermal comfort of a mini-split heat pump air conditioner installed in a room of a residential apartment building with average insulation during heating season. The room air conditioner was chosen according to the floor area of the room. The result of the experiment shows that 30% partial heating load of the air conditioner was frequently appeared and COP was relatively high. This fact shows a mini-split heat pump air conditioner installed in the room in an apartment building will work with high COP during most of the heating season.
