Formation of the Gold-Quartz Veins at the Oya Mine, Miyagi Prefecture

Abstract

The gold-quartz veins occur at the roof and hood of the southerly projected cupola of the quartz diorite mass which is widely spread towards north in the Kitakami mountainland. The writer studied the formation of the vein fissures and the direction of the ascent of the mineralizing solution.
